I need a rules clarification regarding Pressure Style, specifically the move "Apply Pressure"

It reads "Choose one enemy within range. Deal damage to them equal to the number of tokens they hold."

Now this only supposed to apply to to number of Weakness Tokens they have on them or does this mean every single token they have including the basic tokens like power, iron and movement?

I feel like the spirit of the rule is supposed to mean only Weakness Tokens, like you stacking them on the opponent and then blowing them up later. Because the latter using every single token sounds way way too strong.

So I just need a clarification cause I'm confused if it's correct or not. I read it as just Weakness Tokens but I would appreciate any response!

In 1st edition, it did in fact mean "every single token they hold." Apply Pressure is extremely strong.

It isn't exactly broken, though! Having a lot of basic tokens is one of the strongest strategies in this game, and Apply Pressure is a counter to that strategy. While it has been reigned in significantly for second edition, it is a mainstay of 1e gameplay.

Gotcha! Thank you so much for the quick response! We're running a campaign using 1e and the patched up notes, we really love your system and are excited for 2e! Keep up the great work! ^_^
