I read the rules but I don't see any probition that we can't do that btw I think that not forbidden.

I think most people wont see this post anymore. But if anyone does: I just read in the Discord channel that they turned editing during the jam off. So apparently you can turn it on or off when you host a jam. So that should answer this question also for future jams :)
