I don't know if there is a way to beat the boss without cheesing it but I used it and I don't feel bad about it. Liked the approach to make the speaker more than just a voice or a stereo.
Thank you for playing. Actually there are some points in boss fight where bullets does not hit you. Also if you are lucky and pick 2 talents for shotgun bullets per shot you can just melt boss away in a few shots! Also if you pick the range talent one you can kill boss also much more easily.
