It would be great if it could be downloaded and run offline, is that an option available?

You can save the frame the game runs in and it will download everything you need to run it offline. (Firefox)

If you're on Windows, MacOS or Linux, then I recommend the official itch.io app (https://itch.io/app). This will let you download the game, run it offline & also automatically keep your local version updated.
