I enjoyed the little details such as the various ability names, and I liked how the portraits changed depending on the character's role.
I wanted to see if I could build a team with only my Oshi, but unfortunately I couldn't! Oh well.
It's also rather unfortunate that the game would always stop battling at wave 3, so I was unfortunately not able to clear it.
Neat concept, not a big fan of autobattlers but this held my attention. Ran into an odd bug where previous units stuck around on another run, but eh, its a jam.
I love autobattlers and genuinely think this has some potential once all the pieces are in place!
The generation system is super unique, allowing you to use any member in a slot and see them perform differently isn't something I've seen before (granted I'm not super deep in the genre, just like playing them)
I noticed that I got to round 4 (or maybe 5 cause I had 3 members and 1 upgrade) the game locked up, so I ended the run, and restarted, and the first combat went through my old party, so it looks like it wasn't properly reset when the run ended. I think they all died, and then the combat resumed from the first round as expected.
But it would be awesome to see you come back and polish it up, I think you have something really unique here, and it deserves to be given a fair shot. Great work!
It's a shame that not everything is functional. It is also not clear if a holo mem got upgraded when buying another copy as there is no indication. It is also possible to use a holo mem as a buff but only if they haven't debut yet, so that part was unclear as well.
Ooh, this is a fun concept. I really enjoyed it. A shame you didn't get much of it functional, but I see the vision, it has a lot of potential. And I loved seeing all the different forms of each member.
The tutorial was nice, but a bit of in-line aid can go much farther than a paragraph before you start. Just listing the role beside each gen's rank would go a long way, like "Justice (Tank), Promise (Support)" And then listing (NYI) beside each non-functional ability would make it clear what's working without needing to check the itch page on another monitor.
Didn't expect to see a TFT/Autopets style of game in this jam. I'm not sure if it's because the game is incomplete or there's some bug, but there's only 3 characters available and you have to set have the first one be the tank role or you insta-lose. The amount of money you get is extremely limited so I can only get one character or none each round. Because of this, it's really hard to advance in this game, not to mention the occasional soft lock where the combat doesn't happen, ending the game. This needs a lot of rebalancing and polish to make it more playable, but I would be interested in playing this type of game as an Hololive themed Autopets game sounds pretty fun.
Cool concept, I really like these types of games, unfortunately it appears to be bugged as soon as I get my 4th character and stops working entirely.
I got 4 rounds in! I liked the combat, but I felt like I really needed to have my units in a certain order to even make it past the first round. The dedication in the credits was incredibly nice
I think this would be better if it wasn't autoplay. I'd rather click to see the next event rather than wait for it.
The battle system is interesting!
I like the different abilities the party members can gain according to the role they're assigned.
Some improvement suggestions:
- Better tutorial to explain the battle system.
- Audio. There are many free sound effects and music sources you can use to enhance your game's ambience.
- There seems to be some bug that prevents the game from continuing each time I reached the level with 3 enemies.
- Needs some explanation about what each icon next to the character portrait means. Tooltips could help.
Very ambitious game. Hopefully you get back to it to smoothen out the bugs and add some polish!
I can see the potential. I think it could benefit from either simplifying the combat system or introducing more UI elements that would signify each type of action or effect so it's easier to follow what's going on. It does break occasionally for some reason, freezing the round in place which requires a restart. The concept is interesting though!
I like the idea for this game, bulding up your team based on the different skills they can have its pretty fun and gives you a good mix of runs. I would love some sounds and a tutorial tho! There's some bugs that would need fixing (like when you lose you cant play again and at some point the game just stop working)
