Looks like he might be talking about this place in MI: https://www.reddit.com/r/pinball/comments/1o5n6h/went_to_check_out_the_shark_clu...

Not a lot of info about it online, seems like it shut down around 2014

Were you able to watch the video linked in that Reddit post? It's showing private for me.

So weird, it was up earlier when I posted. It pretty much just showed like a walking tour of the space, similar to the pictures in this blog post: https://motorcityblog.blogspot.com/2013/09/shark-club-howell-pinball-party-jerse...

I didn't sweep through the video looking for the Ito machine—I was going to do that later today when I got off work

I'm starting to wonder if some rights holder or something doesn't want us to find more about this machine, between the video getting swapped (could have come from a message to the OP or a copyright claim even), the American Pickers episode edit, and more, it seems like someone with the power to get other folks to pull stuff down is going around...

Maybe we try to dig into trademarks and stuff - could find a rights holder that way?

Good idea on the trademarks. I bet there are some serious collectors who'd love to get their hands on a machine that got pulled from the market. Maybe it was too intense and Stern felt like it was hurting their brand or something?

I mean, I could definitley see it being a little intense for the brand (especially back in 2001!!). But also, if there's really not that much information about it (at least on the English-speaking web), the machine must not have had much distribution. Probably got pulled early, if it ever made it out of Joypolis. I guess it just feels like there isn't even that much to cover up, especially not all these years later. But it also sounds like there's a lot of folks with anecdotal experience here, so why ISN'T there more information...
