Simple reason, on Steam, it's much more relevant for more professional games than on itch.io.

Depending on the developer, they either leave it with just the demo, or as "legacy" or "classic" versions, or they simply abandon them altogether.

It is also more permissive for uploading game updates larger than 1GB, and many find the Steamworks SDK more practical than Butler.

Thats a poor excuse to spit on the fans that built their fanbase to begin with.


There are games sold on here that are larger than 1GB, so that isnt the issue. Also I sincerely doubt the game is that large anyway 

It's true, games larger than 1 GB are sold, although are more reach up to 4 or 5 GB.
