Hello Rebecca and others. Gdevelop was updated with a “Save State” feature which easily saves the entirety of the game in it’s exact state. It works with Ink. It’s never easier than now.

This post is also outdated as the creator of the Ink extension has released version 1.2.0. Users may still download this template and the code will look the same, and it will work with the new save state feature. But all events aren’t compatible if you use this template then try to update the Ink extension.

I would of course like to update this template if I have time with new save functionality and other things. I still think Gdevelop the best and easiest way to make a game with Ink. Gdevelop has the easy drag and drop GUI editor and easy 1 click export to web, PC, and mobile.

Hey! That's very kind of you to update us. I do agree atm that it's been the absolute easiest to customise visually than any other Ink integration I've tried ( though I have to eye roll at the AI bloat they were sneaking in). I'm actually still plugging away at the project I was using this for, but largely been keeping to Inky while I figure out the other parts.  I'm not a coder and while I'm actively trying to skill up in that area, I rely on folks like yourself kindly sharing resources. Thanks very much for this template!
