Hey there~
My first ever non-jam game just hit a point where I feel the core loop is down. It's a prototype, so I'm mainly just looking to see how people feel about it mechanically (anything that doesn't click with you, is the general loop satisfying, ect), but any feedback would be greatly appreciated. It's a quick drafting card game heavily inspired by UFO 50's Party House (and a little Dominion). Currently only a browser and windows version, I can export other formats if anyone's interested: https://avowiz.itch.io/druidcraft

Hey avowiz, I played the game and it was pretty fun!

I really liked the general gameplay of managing a garden between rot while maximizing fertilization and nurture. I felt that every card really fit that theme and nothing felt really out of place. I also liked the fact that you could build your own deck and try out different combinations with a good mix of active and passive boosts.

The main thing that I had the most trouble with was just generally understanding how to play your game. I think it would go a long way to have some more detail in your game description about how the game works. I spent the first 10 minutes of gameplay resetting and trying to figure out the game by myself. In the end I still did not really understand how to win the game (it had something to do with the lion?)

Other than that I feel like your concept is really unique and the gameplay loop was fun. Good luck and all the best!

Cheers!

Thanks so much for your time. Most comments I've gotten in other places I've posted have been about a lack of clarity/information too, so I see I still have a ways to go on that front. I appreciate it.

Prototype 3.2 is out, with a bunch of quality of life changes: https://avowiz.itch.io/druidcraft

Nice game and quite addictive. I was a bit disappointed because after I'd managed one strike for bloom the greenhouse wouldn't open anymore after the next scoring  and my cursor was gone. So I guess I'll never get to the other levels.

Thanks so much. I'll look into fixing that as soon as possible

Okay, the issue you found (and a few others) has been fixed. Thanks for playing friend
