This was like some sort of weird fever dream. Nothing made sense, nothing seemed to work properly, and the same 6 seconds of music just kept looping over and over again. Wild!

First of all, you've made a game which already puts you ahead of a lot of other people who joined the jame and didn't submit anything so be proud of that!
My advice (from the limited amount of time I've been making games), is to focus on one thing at a time before moving on. Pick a thing, get it working the way you want it to work, and move on to the next thing. It doesn't need to look pretty as long as it works, making something look good can come later.
I'm my own worst enemy for trying to do too much at the same time and all that ends up happening is confusion 😂😂
