i assumed that you were very new to this and its totally fine.
As for tips :
- take a simple game you love (tetris, pong, space invader). any very basic game that you enjoy or enjoyed as a kid
- remake the game
it really doesn't matter the kind of game you do, you will always learn important lesson and the logic of coding a game stay relatively similar for a small or big game
and the more you make game, the better you'll get at it, like any other skills.
So don't do like 99% of.... START SIMPLE !!!!
And polishing is the key.
The is a rock simulator where you play as a rock that do not move at all... but the game is so well polished that it end up behing a really fun experience :)
