The itch download of Terrasavr is a little browser that loads and caches Terrasavr. If you’re using that, you can force a refresh through the menu.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried refreshing the Terrasavr window. It did refresh successfully, but still can't read new saves. Refreshing the web version does work, but the .exe version doesn't.

The most recent file version for Terrasavr on this download page is still from 2020.

I'm experiencing the same problem you are - all of the available files are from 2020 or 2024 and I can't get freshly made characters to load at all.

After reading through the other comments, I see that Terrasavr+ is not compatible with 1.4.5 and it's the Terrasavr (no plus) for your OS that gives you an EXE that functions as intended after being unzipped. It seems the dates on Itch.io are either not accurate, or referencing something else and ultimately doesn't matter. Hope this helps.

Are you saying that you've managed to get the .exe to work with 1.4.5 saves?

'Cause I still havent, and I'd love to know how you did that. I much prefer the .exe version to the web version.

It’s menu:View ➜ Force Reload

As I’ve said, the itch version is just a little browser, it doesn’t need to be updated every time a new Terrasavr version releases

I did try that, but it doesn't work. Not for the .exe version.

I really couldn't tell you why. Is there perhaps a cache somewhere on my PC that I need to delete?

You can delete the %APPDATA%\Terrasavr folder to force-clear everything that the .exe version has
