I like the idea, but i think there is some room for improvement. I really struggled with the controls. I think controls should feel easy and flawless.

Things i would improve:

  • Not use x and arrow down. I would use the mouse and click which dashes into wall and bounce to the reflected angle. Thats easy to execute, but still challenging because you have to predict the angle.
  • I you would focus more on the orbiting. What i would do is increase the orbiting objects and make your game build up speed only by orbiting (Not by walking). So the orbit becomes  more important mechanic of your game.

I'm already working on a new version of the game and, in this new version, orbiting gives much more speed than it does now

Aiming the down dash leaves many edge cases open and could interact wierdly with other elements, it would also make floor bouncing very unpredictable.

Also the controls can be rebound, so maybe that can help a little with them feling akward
