Try disabling glow, film grain and enabling less worm segments in the menu.

Maybe that will help, otherwise I don't know what to do

Thansk for the review! I'm really glad you liked it!!!

Fun fact: I initially made the base fill in after leaving but I scrapped it because some world generations would be impossible if you first left from the wrong side!

Also, because of the time constraint, staying in the base too long can make it so you arn't able to get to the end all together!

That said, after the voting period ends, I'm probably going to make the base disappear after leaving it :)

Web verison on Gx Games: https://gx.games/games/ihfheg/ghosts-can-be-scared/

Made a web version on gx games just for you :)

https://gx.games/games/ihfheg/ghosts-can-be-scared/

Thank you!!

Thank you so much!

I've played, rated and reviewed every game!!

Can you play (and rate) mine?

https://itch.io/jam/one-minute-game-jam-01-halloween/rate/4008548

It has really few ratings and I worked really hard on it :)

Really good art and intereting gameplay!

It's a bit janky and confusing tho

Nice gameplay (reminds me of pacman) but kinda unpolished (but maybe that's the point?)

Since the voting hasn't finished yet I'd ask you to keep the game as it was when the jam ended (or keep 2 separate files), so people can vote on the one that you made during the jam time.

Anyways, good job on thet update!!

Really unique concept with some very nice graphics!

That said, this game doesn't fit with the one-minute theme and I don't think that you can use DELTARUNE's soundtrack for your jam game.

Amazing art but very little actual gameplay. Once you notice the hint the game's over

If this is expanded and polished it could turn into something pretty good!!

Also, does this game use the "1 minute game" theme?

Platforming is simple but good but restarting the whole game because I didn't click "R" fast enough is really rage-inducing and made me quit.

Auto-restart on death (if you have enough charges) would be useful

Also is there no "1 minute game" in this game or am I missing something?

Pretty cool combat!! I really like the rock/paper/scissors style of it!!!

The collisions are a bit wonky tho

Really simple but really fun!!

The accelleration-based movement is very unique and fits very well within this game!!

Also very cute graphics!

Exept for the ghost, it seems to have a bit of a blur problem :)

Haunted libririan simulator!!!

A pretty unique game, with some great music!

So... This game was made from october 25th to october 31st AND form the 31st to november 2nd for this one???

Unless you did it all the 31st something doesn't add up.

Really fun and polished!!!!

Also has some really cute art!!

Really fun premise and really fun  gamepley!!

Also really cute art!

The most polished game I've played for this jam!!!!! (so far, I've played 15 of them)

5/5 on theme

Pretty fun!

Great jumping mechanics!

It's pretty difficult but not unfair.

A bit unpolished but everything else is great!

Really unique game!

Loved the rythim to it all!

Also I was absolutely amazed by how you managed tu turn a relatively simple level into a hard one just by having the player move trhough it backwards!!!!!

Also great music!

Really creative concept and really good execution!!

The special candies are a very fun mechanic!!!!

Overall great game!

Managed to get a score of 23 in impossible mode!!

Pretty fun game!!!

The boss feels really mighty and the obstacles are really well balanced!!

The only issue I have is tha it's pretty hard to know where your projectiles are going to end up, a red laser pointer could be useful!!

Very fun with a really creative idea!!

Thanks!!

The art is beautiful and the concept for this game is really interesting and creative!

The idea of having to listen to a conversation while keeping track of the light and staying relatively close to the ferrier is really fun!

That said, the mechanics are not explained, at all and the gameplay isn't really that fun.

It's pretty repetitive and, since the mechanics aren't clear, you are going to have to play more than once.

Also the game isn't one minute long :(

I would be really interest to play his game if it was expanded and with a bit more polish!!

Let me know if you have plans to continue development after the jam ends!

Ohhhh!!!!
I'll try it again, I think I was playing with the hardest dificulty!

edit: managed to beat it :)

Thank you!!!

I usually create 2 files for my jam games too! It's best to preserve the original version!

Really fun!

Nice music, gameplay and music!

Got a high score of 37 seconds!

I don't really get how this matches with the 1 minute theme because you can make it to the end in more than 60 seconds but the game is good anyway

Either I'm missing something or the game is... broken

What I mean by that is that nothing actually happened, I went where the sign was pointing and nothing happened, then I managed to clip out of bounds :)

Can't wait to try the game again when those features are added!

Really fun but also really difficult!!!

I managed to get to only 4 seconds left (after about 40 minutes of playing) and then I just gave up

The bullet hell is really good, the messages on the bottom add charm and the music is very nice!!

I have a few suggestions on how to improve it!

Maybe consider reducing the player's hitbox a bit, it feels a bit unfair when you get hit just by touching a bullet's corner.

Also adding some random power-ups can make the game a bit easier and give the player somewhere to go instead of randomly wandering around.

Overall very nice bullet hell!!

Could be a nice shooter with a lot of improving the shooting and making a clear objective for it!

I know this game is unfinished, but the concept sound fun!

The pixel art is very nice but the gameplay is a bit simplistic and kinda broken.

The third time I lost it just kept saying "you lost" when I started the game

I eventually managed to beat it but I feel like the mechanics wern't really explained, and I still don't understand what all the different bars do

Thank you!!
I didn't think the jumpscares would actually scare anyone but it seems I had underestimated them.

I'm glad I was able to scare you!
