I think it depends on your Android version? Which do you have? I had issue getting it to work with earlier releases and given your model of phone, that might be what's happening.
I don't think Joiplay would work as this is made in Unity. Do you have dev options on for installing third party apps? I wonder if maybe the security is blocking it.
