Hey, I just downloaded this game after playing Tropicali, but I heard this one is even more emotionally devastating. I’d like to get some feedback from people who have already played it, because if that’s true, it’s not really the type of game I usually play, and I’d like to know if I need to prepare myself.
I didn't play Tropicali (yet), but I've played through the whole content that there is in this game right now.
And while I wouldn't describe it as emotionally "devastating", this game sure deals with a lot of emotional trauma on a regular basis. Lots of heavy topics, tears of joy and sorrow. All wrapped in one of the most unique settings I've seen in visual novels.
For the most part I don't think it goes too far with anything, but then everyone has their own limits. I think the only way to be sure is to try. If the mere mention isn't enough to do any damage, and you think you'll manage at least until you know something would be too much, then I think it's worth giving it a good shot.
In the end, even if someone reliable told you you'd be fine, the only who can know for sure is you after you get through it or to a point that isn't. I hope you feel upto it. It really is an experience.
