I liked the clear instructions on the title screen.
Good job on the art and the overall presentation. Good variety of powerups available.
Unfortunately I only made it to Stage 6 so I didn't get to experience the full game's contents due to skill (and rng) issue.
Some powerups looked really good, like the auto chest looter or the time extension ones, but they were too expensive to get even after trying to save for a couple levels, as then I wouldn't have enough DPS to clear the bosses.
Some improvement suggestions:
- Why does the weapon not auto-attack? Is there an advantage to not attacking?
- I feel the EXP orbs disappeared a little too quickly. I did better when dashing through to catch them, but it's a hassle repositioning the mouse cursor to turn around all the time.
- The game needs some more balancing. I feel the difficulty spike is too high when facing the second boss and the EXP yield is too low to get the necessary powerups to deal enough dmg and survive.
- Having dash on left click didn't feel right to me. A keyboard alternative would've been nice to have.
- The dash cooldown should be displayed somewhere on screen. Preferably near the player's character for visibility.
- The sound effects were a bit loud, even after I turned the volume down.
- I wish there was a casual/easy mode where the timer goes down slower and getting hit doesn't eat up that much of the timer. I'd enjoy the game a lot more.
