Lowest GPU I've tested on was a GTX 1070 which is 10 years old by now.

99% usage shouldn't be a problem on its own but those temperatures are pretty high. I think adding a fps limit should help to address GPU usage in a future build.

Would you mind sharing the exact model of your GPU so I can look into other issues that might be problematic. Thanks already for bringing this to my attention. Already gave me some spots to focus on improving performance in it's current development stage.

My GPU is actually older than that -- it's GTX 950. But at the start of the VN version, it does say that the 3D version should be fine for any mid-range computer. GTX 950 is above the mid range, and it's the lowest tier component I have. I'm not sure why the settings wouldn't adjust until you actually get in the game; however, the menu is not even slightly graphically complex.

I will note that the GTX 1070 has 8GB of VRAM, which is far higher than the GTX 950's 2 GB of VRAM. Most gaming GPUs today do have at least 8 GB of VRAM, so perhaps that's the important factor in determining whether it's "moderately new" enough, and not the actual age in years or performance tier.

Looking at benchmarks, it appears that while the GTX 950 is not too much worse than the GTX 1070 at 2D tasks, it's actually a lot worse at 3D tasks. So that might be why I have an issue with 3D but absolutely no problems with 2D.

Thanks for sharing that. I'll have a deeper look into it as I continue improving performance.
