CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION IDEA

Hi Arvus Games,

Do you guys plan on adding player character customization? (ex. Hairstyles, face presets, skin tones, body types, height, facial hair, etc)

Additionally, it would be nice to see visual changes on the player as you progress as well, for example if you start out slim, and start working out in the gym, you slowly become more buffer and bigger as you go. It can make player progression feel a bit more impactful with just small details like that.

This game is great btw keep it up

This request has been made multiple times before.

While it is sad, the answer is a simple no.

The current images and sprites are static, and do not consist of editable elements which can be changed on the fly.

A single image can take between half an hour to and hour to generate and edit. Adding customisations would require multiple variations of a single image to be created. Not accounting for sprites which take longer and all the additional code required and bugs it could introduce.

Only chance of this happening is if Starmaker does well commercially with enough exposure to warrant a spin off after the Steam release, which would be built from the ground up with this feature in mind.

Note - It is also important to keep in mind Starmaker Story is a side project and most of the developers attention is mainly focused on Roundscape Ecplise

Hello there,

glad you like the game. Ckyman summarized the reason so that should be understandable, have in mind that having those customatizations would heavily increase work load, a single image would need 64 variations to account for all the customatization combinations of the choices you gave just having 2 choices on each.
