This would be really cool scaled up. It reminded me of a painting incremental from a while ago, but with a cool digital theme. Not very interactive past the first 2 stages though.

thank you, i'm working on an update for it to release after the jam voting time ^.^

The game got me super curious what the result would be! However, by the 3rd phase, I just left it running and ignored it, as I didn't feel like my actions did enough.

thank you for playing and for your comment, the pacing of phase 3 really needs to be improved! stay tuned for updates after the jam :)

Loved the cohesive aesthetics and look of the game, the game start PC interface text prompts set the vibe real well.

It was minimalistic, which isn't a bad thing, but early on I thought I was missing something, some button to press or action to take. Hard to say if the game would benefit from having more actions to make, maybe a system error puzzle event that if you solve it within time limit your painting progresses by x amount of colors or such. This could be a player choice, if they wish to play the idle route they could just ignore the error and it would vanish and the system keeps going normally, but if you wish to be active you could interact with it to boost the progress. This could also be an opportunity to create another upgrade, that influences this error puzzle making it easier to solve and yield more colors. But now I'm just spitballing, you'll know what's best for your game ^^

Do you think you'll keep working on the game? it's impressive for a first game jam project.

Hi! Thank you! Loved your idea for the system error puzzle event!! I'm really willing to update it after the jam voting period, adding more upgrades, an intermediate drawing before the second and the third (that will give a more gradual canvas size progression... ^ .^ and inspirations and ideas for expansions are appearing on my mindscape ^.^ the warm reception and comments like yours are making me happy and energized for this :)

thank you again for your compliment, it was my first jam but i made a visual novel last year using the same webstack (vite, vue, pinia, xstate, and others) O used on Start From 0, and a small small prototype of a topdown in 2023 (this one with rpg maker).... last year I started to make some prototypes of incremental but none got half as far as the one released now... ^ .^

the coding part is the hardest for me, even with LLMs to help, and the creativity/lore/gamedesign are where I flow, surf and fly with ease ^ .^ if you or other dev wish to team up and think about some project together, I'll put my discord on my profile page ^ .^

luminous hugs from Brasil!

Loved it! The concept is really good. Short and sweet but I can see how it could be expanded. The UI is gorgeous. Might be nice to have other ways to be active and speed things up.
