This was an amusing little game. I'm glad you included the classic frying pan as a weapon. As soon as I saw it I picked it up and went out to deal with the attack. I was able to easily clear the invaders with it. Then I restarted and messed around with other things. The TV having a report was a nice touch. I tried using the ball and tires to roll down at the aliens, but the tires just dropped in place, and the ball seemed to bounce off them without harming them.
One issue I found, is that the mouse cursor cannot be released. I tried pressing escape to release the mouse cursor, but it would not show back up. I was able to Alt-Tab out, and use Ctrl-W to close the browser tab, but you don't even have an exit option in your game, so this is a pretty serious issue for anyone who doesn't know the keyboard shortcuts. Escape is an important button to make sure passes through to the browser, so for web games it needs to not be fully locked/blocked. I would add an exit option to the menu, and make sure that escape gets passed along whenever you capture the mouse, or even monitor it and release the mouse yourself.
