Totally understand why you'd ask for this feature and I'm aware of the issue you're talking about. The reason I didn't add it is because it can break other puzzles and become a mechanic in itself instead of a small tool to help prevent these scenarios.
Oh, I might've confused this with another ocean-tile related issue that I already addressed in the Steam version.
In this case, the game will automatically skip your turn if you cannot do anything, although this is not very intuitive because it might require you to make any action even if that action is not necessary, in order for it to trigger.
