This was an interesting tower defense with platforming. Overall it worked, but I don't think the killer robots were needed. They felt more of an annoyance that didn't really add anything, other than maybe forcing an occasional character change. The basic gameplay loop is pretty simple and largely classic tower defense. The platforming to place them, and use some abilities, worked decently well. The tower placement could be frustrating early game when you run out of resources and have to wait for more, but if the panel is shown it does not update when a tower becomes available, so you have to close it and keep opening it until there is a tower to build. Eventually you may learn the towers and their requirements, but at the start you won't, and there may be other towers you haven't seen yet. It would also be nice to have a bit more info on each tower, such as any special abilities or limits.  There are some interesting towers, and may be more I did not get to yet. I played through wave 20 to see the boss wave.

thank you for the review! imo i think it’s nice to leave the mystery of a tower’s use up to the player to figure out, but quite a few people have echoed the sentiment that they’d like to know what each tower does beforehand, so you’re not alone here.

Perhaps make it a setting. Those who want the info can turn it on, but you can also have it off by default. It can be nice to experiment, but it is also nice to verify if you are right or missed anything, perhaps turning it on for a later play.
