This seems like a decent start. I was a bit lost at first as I've not played many games like this and wasn't sure what to do. I was trying to make the character move with mouse, arrows, and WASD. It would be good if you updated the game page with a brief description of how the game is played. If I had not played any games like before I'm not sure I would have picked it up before getting annoyed and moving on.

I know it is not done, and there is plenty more you had planned, but I'd say that a way to remove items from your inventory to replace them with better would be the first thing to do. I had no idea what anything was to start, so collected everything. Then I had an inventory full of things I didn't want, and useful stuff sitting out waiting to be collected. After that I'd like to know what an item would do in a slot before placing it there. Even if it was picking the item up and hovering it over the slot to see, as long as you could see even when the slot has an item.

Once I got a feel for it I was able to start moving items around and find some useful ones. There were plenty more interesting items waiting on the ground for an open slot. Then the swarm came.

Thanks for the comment. I've added controls to the project description.

Yes, the ability to exchange unused items for metaprogress currency is one of the features I didn't have time to implement.

Items in the storage were supposed to show a tooltip displaying the item's unlocked abilities, but I didn't have time to implement that either.

There were also planned to be significantly more than eight items, but I spent a lot of time implementing the inventory, as this was my first time doing it. Overall, I realized I chose a project with too broad a scope for the time I had.

In any case, thank you for your feedback and interest. It was helpful to see that a player shared my point of view.
