Simpler times are tied into the older OS used in the story as well as the gameplay is very simple like games of ages past.

I appreciate the effort you put on emulating an old OS, it goes great with the theme of the game and helps a lot to reinforce the experience. Even if the story is captivating, I think the gameplay mechanics block the full potential of the experience. In cases like this, where time is a limitation, l'd advice you to focus on the part you consider the most important of your game and put the whole effort on everything around it to reach its best possible form.

You did it great! Keep polishing your skills and developing games, eventually you'll reach a point of excellence. This games has really high notes.

Thank you for such kind and wise words! its tough, we wanted to put a focus on the story but definitely needed to polish the mechanics more.

I also got stuck with the flow file, but I want to know what happened! I wish there was a bit more to the puzzles and maybe some background music, but the story was very intriguing and I liked the computer aesthetic. Good work!

I found the issue with the last file.  I'm fixing it now  but lets see if this works for spoilers

trying to figure out spoiler tags is nuts.  thanks for the kind words!  we just kind of ran out of time for audio but we all had fun with this one

EDIT: sorry for the double reply, i figured out a way to spoiler the file through a lot of searching and trial and error

Spoiler Personal report regarding the disappearance and deaths of Andrew Cunningham (26), Sarah Hildred (25) and Malica Bennadonte (27). All three adults had gone missing on October 16th, 2025. On January 9th, 2026, their bodies were found in the middle of Scott’s Hill, away from any marked hiking trail. Two of the bodies, Andrew Cunningham And Malica Bennadonte were found by a makeshift fire pit, camping supplies^1 were found five feet away from Andrew Cunningham’s corpse. Despite partial decay, cause of death has been able to be identified. Andrew Cunningham’s cause of death has been attributed to asphyxiation, bruising around the neck makes murder the obvious answer. Malica Bennadonte was found with no obvious cause of death, although the coroner did say the wounds around her missing eyes do appear to be older than the rest, which they attributed to scavengers and damage from the cold. Cause of death has been labeled as blood loss. Sarah Hildred was found twenty meters from the makeshift campsite, her body was tied to the base of a tree. Strange markings^2 were found carved into the bark and parts of her skin. Cause of death is unknown as her body, despite being out in the wilderness for multiple months, remains fairly intact. As far as the coroners can tell, she passed away in her sleep, or all of her bodily functions just stopped. Her death has been labeled under hypothermia, as that was the one thing they could actually pinpoint damage on her skin to.

Very interesting! Was hooked on the story. The Flowchart file didn't seem to have enough to let me unlock it and once a piece is placed on an empty node it can't be moved around. I could very well be missing something though. Some low background music could really help sell some ambience and some more difficult puzzles (the idea of playing around with corrupted files, missing nodes, etc came to mind). Really hooked on this though. If more gets added id come back to see it through!
