Really fun small game! I play it on the browser, so maybe the experience will be different when playing in the download version~

There is some improvement that could be made, like graphics. Character movement feel a bit rigid, would be nice to move seamlessly, whilst able to head towards cursor (maybe intended). At the beginning on ship upgrade, I was overwhelmed, but I managed to understand it.

Also, I can't exit from settings or credits with the "X" button, maybe only happening on the webs~

It's really good, could be developed and enhanced further!~

Thanks for playing and the feedback.

We are continuing to work on this game, and it will be getting regular updates. The movement is slower to respond at the start, as you are meant to purchase upgrades for your ship, including the engines. Engine upgrades increase max speed and acceleration. We have the mouse set to fire weapons, so don't currently plan for any movement to go towards the cursor from clicking. We plan to add a short tutorial to the station, similar to what you get on warping to the first dimension, to help new players get going.

I was able to click on the X button, and use keyboard with it, on both the settings and credits screens, and have it close. What browser/OS are you using? Did it show the hover effect when you moused over?

No problem! I played the game again, and it's really good! My browser tab was accidentally closed, so I thought I lost all my progress, but you can continue, neat! I thought I needed to download the file data and import it~

For the X button, it's actually not the game's problem, but the website of itch.io itself. The X button is beneath the submission game jam and profile banner, which is why I can't click it~

Sorry for my phrasing, but what I mean is that the player is able to facing towards the mouse, but since you can actually shoot from keyboard (just checked lol), I don't think player facing based on cursor is needed~

And as I upgrade the speed, the movement does much better~

My only struggle, perhaps that when we're advancing at a greater distance, the enemies are becoming overwhelmed, even in max upgrade, I'm unable to do anything because my shooting gauge is empty. Although this is not a problem, since based on the game page, you did say to plan to update the upgrade~

Can't wait!~

Thanks for double checking and letting us know!

We try to make our games accessible to multiple input options, including mobile, keyboard only, and controller. Not all of them work out well, but it does affect our design, and sometimes limits what the mouse can be used for. We plan to add additional weapon options, and will think about perhaps adding one that allows aiming with mouse/right analog/keyboard, if we can work out a good UI for mobile that still makes it easy to fire all 3 weapons.

We did limit the upgrades partly based on the enemies we had implemented. More energy and faster energy regen will be among the first upgrades to be boosted once we have more enemies to fight.
