Adding custom textures, etc. to in-app folders requires use of password on Mac

Hey guys! Loving Asset Forge. In my attempt to add custom textures to the app, I've found that, when editing the folders in the app's "Package Contents," I have to use my password for every single edit -- placing, renaming, etc. This is getting old pretty fast. Is there by chance a way to work around this, perhaps to pull textures from another folder that isn't under mandatory admin protections? Thanks!

My fault for trying to do gamedev on a MacBook, I know

Yes! If you go to Edit > Preferences in Asset Forge you can select an alternative folder, it should work!

Gotcha - I do believe I found this section, but declaring a folder in there didn’t change anything about the texture menu in the editor. Is the idea that I declare a folder in the preferences, then that becomes the new location for all of my textures? Or that folder is appended to the existing list? Either way, didn’t see any change when I did it - I’ll try again at some point (reposting because I think I did it wrong - thanks for the reply as well!!)
