Hi!

I really enjoyed your game. This is my first time playing this genre and I had a lot of fun approaching it as a true auto battler, each run felt rewarding as I tried to understand the systems and optimize my decisions.

That said, I’ve run into a few pain points. I’ll keep this as objective and actionable as possible:

1) Progression triggers are hard to identify

I tend to talk to and battle everyone on a floor before moving on, because I don’t want to miss anything. Right now it’s almost impossible to tell whether an interaction will advance me to the next floor/level or not.

Because of that, I sometimes get forced forward unintentionally, especially when the NPC that progresses you is placed in the first room near reception. I’d really like clearer control here (for example, a clearer prompt/warning or a separate “advance” interaction).

2) Side story arcs feel like they get cut off

The side story arcs look fun and engaging (Team Rocket, the corner next to the game room, etc.), but I haven’t been able to finish even one. They seem to disappear or “reset” once I move to the next floor, so I’m not able to enjoy content outside the core battles.

If side arcs are meant to be optional, it would help if they persisted across floors, or if there was some form of tracking/continuation.

3) Dual gym leader mixed teams: cool idea, but breaks character a bit

Battles against two gym leaders with mixed teams are a great novelty. That said, I think it could still be balanced while keeping the leaders more “in character.”

Example ideas:

  • Use Pokémon whose moves/abilities match the color/theme they represent.

  • Use the same species in different colors/forms (e.g., Altaria White vs Altaria Blue) to keep the identity while still varying teams.

4) Menu navigation is sometimes confusing

This one is more personal, but I sometimes get lost moving between sections. I’m used to having a clear tab switch button (or a visible “you are here” navigation). Not a major issue, but it slows me down.

5) Bug report: battle starts with empty enemy field (softlock)

On my first time reaching the boss battle, I saw the three elemental brothers spawned in the first room near reception. I decided to battle them first to get some extra cash before the champion.

That triggered a battle with:

  • an empty enemy field

  • 0% bars …and the screen bugged out, forcing me to restart and lose my progress.

This ties into the next request:

6) Save & continue

Because runs can end abruptly (especially due to bugs), having a save game / continue later option would make a big difference.

7) More run customization + clearer rare card progression

I’d love the option to start runs with personalized initial Pokémon under a score/point cap, instead of only choosing from the preset starting decks. For example: choose 2 starters within a points limit.

Also, it’s not very clear how to get rare cards. It could help to:

  • make the rare card acquisition rules more explicit, or

  • introduce a late-game zone/event where difficulty spikes (e.g., “Master Ball fields”), with opponents running strong Pokémon and extreme strategies, so rare cards feel tied to a clear milestone.

Overall, the core gameplay loop is great and I’m having a lot of fun with it. These points are mostly about clarity, control, and making side content feel finishable.

Thanks again for the work you’ve put into this.

hi, I'm really happy that you enjoyed the game, and you taking the time to share your thoughts in such a in-depth and helpful manner means more to me than you can imagine

some of the things you mentioned are already being worked on and I'm sorry about the delay. I actually released the game with a "save/load" feature, but the way I made it was causing issues for a lot of people, so I temporarily disabled it while I reworked it.

The new version is mostly done, but since the old version was working on the devices I tested too, I'm kind of taking some time on the testing before I release it xd sorry...

the cilan brothers appearing during grand finals is a bug, it will be fixed in the next version (1.5)!!

I love your idea about starting the game with a custom team. I'll find a way to add it to game for sure.

I really appreciate the awesome feedback, I'll really take it into account for future updates (not PR speak I promise LOL). This is my "biggest" game so far so I know it has a lot of rough edges, and I'm really thankful for the pointers you've given me
