The text is outdated. It's the fast travel system from the menu, not the teleport orb anymore.
Maybe you finished a different floor in the Spire of Courage? Did you have the encounter with Mekboss Mashgul?

Looks like I accidentally skipped the easy dungeon. I assumed that the first section you go through WAS the first floor and jumped straight to the medium dungeon when I initially did the tower awhile back in my game. Thanks for leading me in the right direction.
