As opposed to other games that are on hiatus for years. 2 months isnt really a worrying amount if time to assume the game is abandoned. Secondly, when he says for the year he meant the year of 2025. I say if we don't see anything by February or March then I'll be inclined to agree with you, but for now have faith.
Yes, very likely after 18 months of nothing but empty promises. Anyone that believes anything any dev posts anywhere if it's not an actual update link and takes that at 100% face value is just begging to be ripped off and disappointed, esp after 18 months. A month or 2 delay from the usual schedule happens sometimes for various reasons and those honest devs tend to just pause subs when that happens and let everyone know what's actually going on, but 18 months? C'mon, use your brain and some logic. It should be obvious he's just ripping people off at this point if they are dumb enough to stay subbed even now just because he posted that he's still working on it.
