Dude, it is not being in disagreement here, I am just stating a personal opinion. In my world, an object is addressed by "it" , and a living being is addressed by his/her gender, that's it. When I'm talking about my cat, I am using "her", even, haha!
Don't mind me, dude... I'm too old for these modern ways and I'm not going to change. :)
