a great work! a perfect intro to a game, and it even hides the main mechanic inside it! what i got from it (to a scientist): from asteroids reference frame, they open the mirror before earth fire laser. so they have the ability to predict future. so they leave some human alive on purpose, so they do this for a reason... like they are cursed by knowing in all? they are floating in space looking for sth new? so human/player need to find real unpredictable moves that the player cannot know the concequences. mechanic would be predict the unpredictable, control the random... a great cutscene

Thank you so much! I love how you interpret the scene. It is not like the alien race is able to predict the future though. My idea was: They observed the earth the whole time, thus, knew humanity built a laser for shooting them. But they are able to 'watch' in real-time due to some very advanced technology. This way they just waited for humans to fire the laser and immediately revealed their ship. So..For the aliens everything happens in real-time, while for humanity everything is 5 seconds too late :D
