In terms of presentation, this was absolutely beautiful. I loved the art, the sprites, the cutscenes, etc. Amazing job in that regard! The story and the concept of the shadows was also quite interesting.
Unfortunately, there was a very annoying bug that made the game a bit hard to play. Also, the lack of music and sounds was a bit jarring considering how beautiful the game looks.

I do hope you keep working on this, as it has potential, the story was getting really interesting and the visuals are stunning!

Thanks for commenting!! Sorry for the late reply, it takes me a while to come up with responses sometimes.

I’ll admit, I got a bit lazy during playtesting and only looked for bugs for the downloadable builds. I didn’t notice the missing sound files! They either got lost when I exported the game, or when i was deleting sound effects to make space for the 1000 file limit.

I’ll admit that the writing and visuals were a higher priority than sound design, so I didn’t spend a lot of time in that department. I was mostly rushing through while playtesting, so I didn’t notice how empty the game felt without sound. Adding an ost and better sound design is my highest priority right now.

I’m glad you liked the art and writing!

Love the art here, and I dig the vibe and angle you went with. Looking forward to future updates!
As for critiques, I'm sure you're already aware of missing sfx such as "splap.ogg" and "Load.ogg". The shadow chase can also be completely side-stepped so you can watch it walk off into the distance, you can definitely set its movement behavior to actually chase the player.

Good luck with development!

Thanks for playing my game!!

I didn’t know those files were missing. It was one in many countless attempts to upload the zip file for the web build, I think I deleted them on accident and was too tired at that point to playtest the web build.

As for the chase, it was originally set to chase the player, but I didn’t like how it would sometimes step to the side while chasing the player. I’m going to have to test some other behaviors out soon.

Thanks again and good luck with your project as well!!

Game working on mobile google chrome smoothly. What a pity that the story is not finished. I am interested what article has co-worker.

Mild level of horror. Game conveniently warn us to run.

Visuals are cozy and character portraits are creative.

I didn't heard a music but heard some sounds.

Thanks for the game!
