How exactly do i progress from the dinner? I tried not filling the bar from the three options, but it doesn't seem possible- ending with one of them full. I also don't get the high blood cost but with good social skill something. I almost questioned my own social skills, but remembered that I'm talking to a cuckoo guy with a pittyful sanity. I'm really interested with the plot though.

Unfortunately in this game all Love İnterests have their own inner monster side and filling those bars means you get into danger point where that monster can be awakened: but dont worry! ıf you want to survive you need to first see which bar usually moves slowest for each Love interest: for İsaac lust is the bar that skyrockets immediately but he is rather more patient against lure. to survive him you need to carefully put your options and make sure you have right social skill (which you can get once you gather 5 points from logic, power, empathy aspects) each skill can put you out of that certain danger as they reduce as a part of that filled bar when you use the skill to convince characters to stay sane
to prevent lust attack: you need empathy skill
to prevent rage/anger attack: you need power skill
to prevent lure attack: you need logic skill
but beware! each skill will consume your energy and you can only use your skills once (which means ıf you used your logic skill you cant use it for second time).
This means in each survival event you need to calculate your moves and use your skills to survive. and dont worry of dying! certain person has got your back in bad ends and you can always rollback or use ''back'' button to redo your choices though ı also suggest you to save before important events ıf you want to explore all choices you can pick.
JustaOneGirl did a good job expanding on the strategy, but basically acting nice, compliant, and interested in Isaac as a person triggers his lust, so it should be used as last resort. It is possible to make it through dinner without going over the danger threshold, (thus surviving without using intimidate,pacify, or convince). Using a skill to survive going over the danger limit will lower his bar by 1 action and give you more 'wiggle' room or you have to balance him perfectly. if its a bit confusing i also recommend making as much use of the back button as you need.
ah yes, I forgot about being able to prevent that convincing scene completely ı apologize! to make that you should leave the bars at ''DANGER'' writing. ''DANGER'' writing doesnt mean that the moment you reach that the skill using scene will appear, in this game ''DANGER'' appearing on the bar means you can no longer pick any choice that will add more to this bar or you will be face with surviving scene where you have to use skill to survive. so instead of planning all the skills and blood points you can just perfectly balance all bars in ''DANGER'' and survive the dinner event ^^
