Hi there!

just to let you know that I have fixed the bug of the duplicated JSON and also added a plugin command to change the default font index. Just download the new version 2.3.0(I know I reduced the version number, but don't bother with that. Just developer stuff).

Thanks for the feedback!

No... Thank YOU so much for just... All of this! This has all been a huge help seriously... And I just can't believe that it's even real! Sorry, this just is too much... I've never met a creator as interactive as you. You have given me more confidence, so... I'll try my best in trying to explain two new issues that I've ran into after trying the methods that you've told me.

Issue #1

I encountered this error while trying out your new Change Default Font plugin command! I don't know why this is happening... But maybe you do! So here is the sort of events that I used to test it out.

So basically, I tried making a sort of ON/OFF switch thingy, that would change between the default bitmap font, and the different one. To see how it plays out and well... When I press the "yes" option to switch it on and change the default font to the other one, that's how I got the "Cannot read property 'textColor' of undefined error. I also even tried by changing the Reset All Fonts option from the first page to true but that just gives off the same outcome. The same error... Maybe you know what I'm doing wrong here?

Also wait, I'm sorry! I forgot about this. This happens when I write in the Font Face instead of the index. You know, writing "[DWFont]" instead. It switches into [LWFont] perfectly, but with the other font it just ends up like this. Even though its full width is 1638, and it has 91 characters. That means 1638/91 = 18. So, this is strange... Because it isn't a decimal number. So, I don't know what's wrong with that. Maybe this can help you find the solution? I don't know... Let's move on to the second issue!

Issue #2

I tried to do what you told me about like, downloading your other plugin called Eli Message Actions and using "\FNT[FontFace"... But uh, I tried it out and I got this error! Basically, what I did is write "\FNT[DWFont]" into the Show Text command. Like this!

As you can see, I tried exactly that with this test sign! So, I played the game, interacted with the test sign, and right after I pressed Z to move on to the last text box, I got the error! Like, the instant it tried to generate the "This text is a test." text on the text box, the game just... Couldn't and gave me the error! Yea... I uh, also don't know what I did wrong with this one. Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you say again?! With like before, when I thought the help file meant like putting the face font into the show text command.  I don't know, it's just that your escape code thing, reminded me of it... If you know that something I'm doing is wrong, you can correct me the same way you did before! Sorry if this one might be... Dumb or something...

Conclusion

And that was it! Seriously, thank you so much for all of this help that you have been giving me... And because of that, I'm really trying my best to not commit the same errors as before! And, trying to make myself understandable, instead of just typing a wall of text... Well, I'll be waiting. Just like before! Thank you.

The Issue about the ´textColor' and about the changeContainerFont is already fixed! But I didn't update it to itch io yet, I'm doing some tests.

Now the font being messy, I have created some methods inside the plugin that it will check when a font is bad configured, so when I update it here, it will tell you on your tests what is going on so we can understand better.

Unfortunatelly, it's late and I'm tired right now. Will not being able to uploaded the updated version since I still need to test some stuff. And the new year is closing, so I guess I will only be back now on the day 03 of january 2026. hope you can understand ^^

When I get back I will call you here.

Alright! That's completely fine with me. I understand, so take your time! I'll be here when you're back.

Hi there!

Had a little time and manage to publish the updates! please download the new version of the Bitmap Font and the Message Actions. Let me know how it will work now ^^

Woah, I really didn't expect you to finish so quickly! Seriously, thanks again! I think it was able to solve Issue #1 thanks to it, because the plugin parameter was actually missing two characters! But... Another issue appeared, again...

Basically, now every time I try to open my game I get this error. And I've tried everything to fix it! I tried changing the index of the switch back to numbers, nothing. I tried maybe removing the escape code from the Test Sign, nothing. I just, can't find what's causing it!

I'm so sorry if I'm interrupting your New Years celebration or something... And making you do all of this... You don't have to rush it you know? I don't want you to feel bad... I only want help, but there's time! So please, just remember that... Take your time, I'll be waiting like always.

This error can only be triggered when using the plugin commands: Change Default Font or Change Font.

So first thing is to find the plugin command that is giving you this alert. Check if you have any common events that are using these commands or any event that is using it on the map start.

After that, the problem is that the Font Face / Index provided on the plugin command, does not exist. You can take a look at your Fonts plugin parameters and compare with the one you set on one of these plugin commands. If you still didn't manage to find the issue, show me a screenshot of your fonts plugin parameter and a screenshot of the plugin command so I can see and compare to check what is wrong.

Ok, I understand. So, it seems that this event is what's causing the error.

But I don't see the problem with it... The Font Face here also exists correctly as it should.

Maybe you do know what's wrong? I'm so sorry all of this is taking so long... I really didn't think it was going to be this complicated to solve! So again, take your time. It doesn't have to be today, nor tomorrow. I'll be here when you are.
