I just wanted to share some of my thoughts after playing a big portion of 1.8A.

I really enjoy that the game has such a wide variety and even features some stuff for different fetishes, but I would really appreciate it if we had more autonomy for choosing what to do with certain characters. Personally, I have no issue with Gay or Futanari content, but I would very much like to see the option to play without it and have a solo harem route without sharing your women.

Additionally, if that's not possible, perhaps adding a drug to REVERT the futanari of certain characters would be great, as it may add more depth to the game's content and preference of play, such as going to the gym. Given the game's vast amount of content and how AI is being used to make development more efficient, I feel like these are not huge asks at all. Many other players have expressed an interest in what I've mentioned above and not everyone wants to see Futanari during their playthrough. And that should be totally acceptable, so the fact that we have Futa-drugs to apply to certain characters, really begs the question of why we can't do the opposite.

Please consider giving players with vanilla tastes better representation.

Hello there,
nothing against your way of thinking of course as everyone has their own likes and dislikes. It is indeed a huge ask to remove the futa out of such characters, they are intended to be like that, and it would require a rework of all scenes, dialogs, and behaviors of these characters. Even though AI is used, is not a single click and it gets generated, there's is a lot of work to each pic and bust/asset after generation, some even fully manually done. The futa pill is just for Anna, not for certain characters. While I understand some people might have a liking to a character shattered because of the "extra package" is something that won't be changed, there's currently 3 interactable futas out of a cast of 40+ characters so there's something for everyone.
As for the solo/harem route, that's already in game, you can decide between sharing or not all of the characters, except for some specifics like Haniya for obvious reasons, and for anyone coming to request it... NO, there won't ever be a steal route for Haniya.

There's nothing unreasonable about asking for the option to opt out of Futanari content. It's quite literally the same thing as adding more of it to the game. I get people like certain fetishes, and I'm not saying they should remove it outright. I'm literally saying there should be the OPTION to play the way you want to play without seeing things you don't want to see. Such as cuckoldry. There's plenty of that going on here even if you're trying to play as someone with a harem, which the game could arguably do better to lean towards if that's what someone wants.

Not to mention the game literally uses AI and all the artists have to do is touch up certain things to deliver a finished piece of content. It's not rocket science and I get that sounds entitled but so is saying that Futa should be always present in every playthrough. If futanari players get their content, then people who don't want it shouldn't have to put up with it. It's not unreasonable to ask to not have futa in the game. Just like it's not unreasonable to ask to not have scat or urination scenes. There are people who are going to want to avoid those things.

Hello there, i never said unreasonable, i said is a huge ask, which it is because it would need to change all the cgs of the characters involved and their way of acting. The people that want to play without interacting with them can, as no futa character is obligatory for anything. There's no cuckoldry on the mc, there's shares, which is not the same, and the player can decide not to do it.

Futanari enjoyers get their content and the ones that dont like it have plenty as well, theres 4 futas in a game with over 40 characters.

In regards to the game using AI, is not a simple "touch up" it takes time, the assets are not simply generated and given a small touch up, there's a lot of after gen work.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm angry or anything, and I certainly don't want to come off as aggressive, but can we be honest here and accept the fact that the game is just still images in terms of 'content'? All it would take, is replacing a handful of characters to have no penis like the Gym owner, the nun, and one of the Starmaker content creators. Sure, each of them has their own sets of pictures that would need to be edited, but that's not a huge ask. It can be done. And it's not like the game is explicitly ADVERTISED as a Futanari game. There is just Futanari content within it, which would still exist if people who wanted to play without it asked for it to be turned off.

Once steam releases, this message I'm trying to send here is not going to be anything new. The development team is going to see that yeah, there are people who are going to ask for this option. Maybe they ought to give it some consideration. I mean, you literally get a pill to make Anna have a dick from Dr. Frost. I'm seeing the Steam page for the game that's gonna release in march and there is absolutely NOTHING about which eludes to any amount of Futanari. As a matter of fact, I'd go so far as to say that the "And more..." at the end of limited character descriptions is extremely ambiguous given the following.

If Futanari is such a staple that multiple characters have to be in the game, why not openly advertise that? I was playing the game for over an hour before I bumped into one of them, and I was like whoah okay. It didn't bother me, and still doesn't, but It's just a preference. I'd rather not have to see a chick's bulging cock when I'm doing push ups in a mini game lmao.

And I hope this gets my point across, but the game actually advertises the following: Peak City is brimming with intriguing characters. From a seductive, cold, and calculating doctor to a lonely suburban mom yearning for a bit of love, it’s up to you to decide whom to approach or turn away."

This literally spells it out for you. 'It's up to you to decide whom to approach or turn away.'.

So a player might infer from reading that, that hey, I can have my own harem! No sharing! No weird shit! Yeah!!!

Like, come on. If the game is not going to be what it ACTUALLY advertises itself as on the Steam page, maybe it ought to be a little more transparent?

I can clear some of this up

The game will not release in March on Steam, it is more likely we will see 1.9 in March/April on Itch (going by previous development cycles) The steam release (with an exclusive character and quest) will be published once 2.0 is complete and the game is considered Gold. So realistically late summer / early autumn of 2026.
Per image it would take around 1 hour to edit the image to an acceptable game quality standard using Comfy UI and Photoshop, you then need to times this by the amount of Sprites and CGs within the game for every futa. Then you need to rewrite dialog and completely regen images where the futa is having sexual interactions with the MC or Other characters, this would take around 3 hours per image. Then there is all the code that would need to be written for this in Unity so that both the options (futa/vanilla) are applied and then make changes to so that automation tests are aligned for test cycle or significantly increase the time spent on manual testing. I am sure Kal would be more than open for someone creating a Mod for this, but for the developer to natively support this would mean we get another rework patch like 1.8 with significantly less new story content. It is also important to remember Starmaker is a side project and most of Kals love, time and effort is dedicated to Roundscape Ecplise. Personally I wish this was not the case, but at the end of the day it is what it is, nothing is going to change that.
As the Doc has highlighted all futa content is like the rest of that of other characters completely optional. For example you can chose to bench press in the gym on your own, without the need for having a dick in your face. Using this example maybe a better request would be to have a random female arse/tits in your face when bench pressing?
Agreed on the itch main page, it would be nice to have content tags back. They did use to be highlighted. As well as other changes like updated preview images (all the images are from old builds now not including the reworked sprites) there needs to be notes for things like "Saves are not always compatible or migrated from subsequent releases" and the game should not be marked as "Released" and should be marked as "In Development"
The steam page is very old and will most likely be updated prior to release

As explained, no character other than Anna is an obligatory interaction. And as per "So a player might infer from reading that, that hey, I can have my own harem! No sharing! No weird shit! Yeah!!", the player can have this, no share is obligatory either, if you want every girl to be just for Mc, you can, exept for examples like I already explained like Haniya.

I'm not taking your attitude as rude, but thinking that doing those changes are easy work is just incorrect.

As per the steam release, yes, is not going to be in that time, and the tags will be added.

Kal is fine with modding, theres even some that already modded a non futa version of Phoenix's sprite. And while you might be right that "the comment won't be anything new", is something that will stay like it is, Futas will continue to be only futa and River will continue to be the femboy he is.

Again, nothing wrong with the opinion of not being into futa, but this changes won't be made.
