You press forward, looking at the edge, while holding jump?

The game has very low requirement. But the probe lightings might hit you still...

The whole problem is the broken jumping mechanic. When I jump anywhere, my movement pattern randomly switches from walking to some kind of gliding motion, like a character moving across water. In this state, the jump button is disabled, and I can no longer progress through the level. On level 3, this happens right from the start, and I can't get over small ledges to get into the elevator. I was lucky once and was able to move normally at the beginning of the level, but then I jumped somewhere else and got stuck, unable to jump to move forward.

I don't know why this bug happens. No one else here seems to have complained about anything similar, so maybe it's just me. It's a shame, because I really like everything else in your game :С

I saw something very similar only when the game was running at a very low frame rate.

Yeah, I encountered this the moment I tried jumping on level 1, the game runs ridiculously slow (~5 FPS) on my old Windows 8, I don't know what's causing the low framerate as the game isn't using much of my PC's resources.

Hey, what's your GPU by curiousity? There is a large Probe Lights texture that might be causing some vram bandwidth issues.

The game seems to be more CPU-bound, though. I got terrible framerates (sub-20 fps on map 3) on an old system with a slow CPU but fast GPU (GTX 1070), and more playable framerates on a thin client with low-end Intel Graphics.

It also seemed to make no difference on an old gaming laptop with both Intel and NVidia GPU. I tried both, and got the same framerates.

Sorry for late response! It's an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti, quite old at this point
