Spoiler 0.11 I- wow, just played the latest release and Raymond’s backstory was way worse than I expected ;-; I love our poor traumatized black kitty even more now. This update was such a nice read honestly, it’s like an early Christmas gift xD Honestly, Raymond being a killer makes me suspect that everyone in this mansion has murdered someone at some point in their life, which is their sin to atone in this mysterious place, though the circumstances are still very shrouded to us readers. I wonder what everyone else’s sin was that lead them here… Lewis being the first victim in the first iteration kinda makes me suspect him being the killer… He does have a brother who looks very similar to him, right? Mayyybeee the corpse they found was the brother? Hmmmmmmm…. nahh, he’s too precious to be the killer, right? …….Right? sweats profusely Also, that line that Jack said to Raymond, something something “my passion, my infatuation”… OwO Was that just a confession?!? I am excited where the story will go further, I’m cheering for the future of this novel! :3
Raymond's backstory is something I find amusing as the initial plans were for it to be some sort of huge mystery, not quite as much as the major overarching questions, but something that would take longer than it did to be revealed. However, as the project took shape, it became apparent that some revelations could be made earlier, and even though it's something that's a little out of the ordinary for me, as I'm not one to write excessively tragic backstories, it's something that fits him thematically well, and I was actually eager to bring it into the story.
And although Raymond manages to be somewhat intelligent on a number of occasions, fully comprehending Jack's words is definitely not one of his strengths
Thanks for the cheers! This Act 1 was more of a foundation, the calm before the storm, so to speak, marking the initial part since the introduction of the loop. But there's still a long way to go
