I'm glad you liked it! Honestly, writing the Debates is the part I enjoy the most and the one that makes me spend the most time thinking about how to structure the discussion and to write it

And I'm glad you like the loop element, since I imagine it won't be well received by everyone, given how much it completely shifts the perspective on the work and opens up too many possibilities to think about, especially given the amount of information available at the moment.

I love reading speculations (which, unfortunately, I have no easy way of responding to, you know)

And yes, I'm curious about your theory, and I totally understand feeling uncomfortable typing on a phone. I personally don't like it either, (if I'm already prone to typos on the keyboard, I can assure you that on the phone they are unfortunately much more common than I would like them to be).

And I have no intention of stopping, probably keeping up this pace of one build every 2-3 months depending on the size of the build (who knows, maybe in the future I'll be able to do it more easily than I do today and I'll be able to reduce that time), but I'm definitely going to continue, each day viewing this journey of development more and more as a Sisyphean task because of how long it's taking me, but still, I enjoy doing it and I'm eager to see more of the scenes I have already planned, more revelations I have planned, coming to life in the game

Raymond's backstory is something I find amusing as the initial plans were for it to be some sort of huge mystery, not quite as much as the major overarching questions, but something that would take longer than it did to be revealed. However, as the project took shape, it became apparent that some revelations could be made earlier, and even though it's something that's a little out of the ordinary for me, as I'm not one to write excessively tragic backstories, it's something that fits him thematically well, and I was actually eager to bring it into the story.

And although Raymond manages to be somewhat intelligent on a number of occasions, fully comprehending Jack's words is definitely not one of his strengths

Thanks for the cheers! This Act 1 was more of a foundation, the calm before the storm, so to speak, marking the initial part since the introduction of the loop. But there's still a long way to go

Path D is of in Day 2 you decide to don't open up eventually with Jack

Mostly there is some change in dialogue during it's course, it's mostly Raymond and Jack's time blushing or being overly friendly being toned down, it's more clearly in Act 4 what truly changes, so feel free to use the Chapter select to get there of you want to play the new content

And I can't really say much on the theorizing part so... yeah, definitly will have more clues as the chapter continues

And thanks for sharing your thoughts! I love hearing opinions and theory/guesses on the story

Oh that actually makes me more relieved

It wouldn't be the first time something bugging/not working on someone's computer, but working on mine

It was probably or a download error, that an image file ended up getting lost/corrupted, or there was a file reading incompatibility due to a space in the file name (something that is a bad habit of mine that I have to fix). Still, it's strange if it's the latter cause there are other files that have spaces in their names besides this one, so I imagine it should have caused a problem like this way before. Anyway, I changed this specific file and made a hotfix. Try downloading it again and see if the error has been resolved!

Oh, this didn't happened at my version, as soon as I get home I'll get it fixed and update you about it, weird, thanks for the heads up!

Ok, the bug thing was kind of funny, it was actually way more damaging than what happened to you, cause after Day 2 of Chapter 1, if you hadn't explored and failed to found Arthur while with Jack and Alice, any other time you entered the Infirmary through the Backyard or the Kitchen, it would try to trigger the last "cutscene event" and if there were none the game would just crash trying to. The same was happening with Lewis and Emily in the Warehouse, and I fixed it before, but for some reason didn't think this was happening with Arthur in the Infirmary event as well. It actually is an easy fix so thanks! Already making upload of a hotfix to this, cause you are expected to explore in this part since there is a new Tarot card to be found

Thanks! I think the next build may be on the smaller side, but I'm glad I was able to pull it through the last two!

Thanks! And I want to thank you for the misspelling warning. I went and checked and found a lot of them, especially in the first half of the update. Just read the script over again, and it may still have some of them, but I fixed most of the ones I found and made a hotfix update. I need to start reading the scripts more carefully.

Thanks! Really! Yeah, I feel like this build finishes wrapping up the idea of the game as a whole. But seriously, thank you so much for the kind comment!

Thank you! I'm delighted! Really! Reading your comment made my day. I've been working on Sisyphean Mansion alone, so some resources, such as the artwork, were created with care and affection, even though they are very amateurish, but I really wanted to bring this game to life, and seeing comments like this makes me happy about everything.

I'm thrilled that you liked it! I have to say that I was wary of the looping element because it changes the story in a rather drastic way, but I'm glad it was well-received

Regarding the routes, I'm still going to continue with Chapter 2 of Jack's route before starting the others.  However, I'm going to start releasing the other routes before I complete Chapter 2. For the next build, I'm going to finish the unfinished paths from chapter 1 (C,D, and G) and see if I can release a full build of the next chapter (focusing on Path A). If I can't, I'll just release a portion of it

And reading you connect the dots makes me smile. Some things make sense now, and others will make sense later.

Really, I'm glad for the praise! Thank you!

I'm glad you liked it! Yeah, I have somewhat the same feeling with mystery stories overall, I've recently started playing AI Somnium files and I'm looking to see other games or works of mystery in general from time to time

Yeah, Sisyphean does make sense when you consider the loop factor. I did see it coming miles away, but at the same time, I'm writing the story, so it feels kind of biased for me to say that, lol

Can't really answer the things, but I'm glad to know you're open to theorizing, even if things tend to get tricky now that supernatural has an effect

And thanks! I hope you enjoy the next build as well!

Oh, try moving Raymond to get out of the map. The input to close the map or any of the Tarot cards is to walk. If it doesn't work I'll check how to fix it!

Thank you! And wow, I'm surprised and happy that you've worked it out, these codes are part of a mystery that's yet to unfold, the story is vast and there's a lot of ground to cover, I'm glad to see you following along and we'll soon be near the resolution of the first chapter of Jack's route

And yeah, after I reach a certain part of Jack Route I'll be doing the other ones, I'm still in between releasing a bit of each route each build or focusing one on one until specific parts I plan to get like Jack's route

Thanks, and yeah... His route will take a while for me to work on since I plan on doing Jack's route until a certan point, then do Arthur's, then Lewis's and finally Luck's so it might take some time but it'll get there eventually!

No problem! I'm actually relieved it was just this, I thought there was something I changed without noticing and was causing this. Anything else happening, please feel free to say

Since checking it all over again to see if any bugs were made takes some time and I'm not even sure it would work in your case, I'll link it to the new build without checking, try downloading this version and see if it changes, again, it could have bugs&glitches since I didn't test it beforehand. I'll put in as "Build7ver2" in the downloads, if you could please, give me a heads up if it worked or not so I can hide it to not cause confusion I'd be grateful

Sorry for all of this, I wish I'd be able to help out more

It's the Z key or the Enter Key or the Left Mouse click being spammed as those 3 are the confirm buttons, in the "New Game/Chapter Select" it's made that if you click confirm goes directly through New Game, again, I'm lost in this as well as it does not happen when I download the game. When I search online about it in forums, most of the replies are about having a controller/gamepad on, which I don't think is the case, and about cleaning the Keyboard/Mouse, which, again, I don't think is the case, so I may be pulling the obvious here, but have you tried downloading it again and testing it?

Again, the only person I found with this same problem was in this thread: https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/everytime-i-start-the-game-the-...
It's not something inherently on the game so I don't even know how I can change it to make it work in a hotfix, what bugs me is how it worked fine before and now it's happening this.
I'll try to repost the game again, but for this, I need to check and hide the new parts I'm already working on it, I didn't even had time to check if they're still working properly and are not interfering with anything prior to them, so I'll be checking this and them re-releasing the game to see if anything changes.

Well, when I downloaded the game on my computer I didn't have this problem, so it's a mystery at the moment why it happens and strange that it happens only now and didn't happen before since there was no change in the menu in any of the updates, but, I can try to find out

Searching for problems like this online, the only forum I found is about someone having this problem because they play on a tablet and it's some incompatibility the old drivers have with Rpg maker, do you play on a laptop, desktop, tablet or anything else? Do you still have the 5th version saved or overwritten, if so, does it run normally? I'm really intrigued by this and I think it's a good idea to try to see how to solve it, which I had no idea could happen.

Just for your information, reading your comment made my day. I've been smiling for half an hour and I'm still smiling, I'm extremely happy that you liked it! Sisyphean Mansion is a project that, as laborious as it is because it's, well, made by me, myself and I, is one that I have a great deal of affection for and I've been working on its story for years, which has changed and adapted to become the one we have today. I don't intend to abandon it in any way, and the next update should be out in the middle of March, and yes, there's still a lot of ground to cover, a lot to still be told and a lot to be resolved., it may take some time, but every mystery will be unfolded in their own time. Thank you!

Oh, and just more of a curiosity, it's Portuguese, not Spanish. And in case you prefer, I do have the email sisypheanmansion@gmail.com

Again, I'm sorry about this, I don't have all the files checked at once because there are more than 1200 image files, and checking them one by one ends up being rather tiresome, so I apologize for having to go through such an experience with the game, I ended up fixing this and another one that would happen to you later on, and I don't mind comments like that, on the contrary, I appreciate it because my goal is to try to fix as much and improve as much of the game as I can!

Please, feel free to post any bugs or grammar errors you find during your gameplay! It'll help the game be more polished and help me a lot!

Ok, I uploaded a new version, same name, it should work now. And to keep the save files, just extract the zip file in the same folder that the other one was and click to overwrite all existing files, it should work and keep the save files. I'd love to say it will now work 100% but again, this kind of error doesn't happen in my pc so again, if something happens, I'd love to know! Thanks for this one as well!

Don't worry, it's cause in my computer this doesn't happen, didn't saw this image also had an accent in the file name, I'm at work right now and will get home in probably like, 4 hours, I can get this fixed, thanks for the heads up! I'll comment again when I end up doing it!

And don't worry about bothering, as I said again, it's something I didn't even thought about it so it's better to fix as soon as I can

It's me and the habit of naming files in my native language instead of english and using accents in the words

Ok, there was 1 portrait of Layra, 2 of Jason, and 3 of Zack with accents on the file's name, I went ahead, took it out, revised the program events with them, and speed playthrough the game and it seemed to work fine now, my computer doesn't have a problem with the accents so maybe there might be another file that got through, if you could, please try downloading again and see if it works, anything else happening, please tell, thanks for this, it's best to fix it now than later on!

Also, I think I understand why this happened, after checking I realized this specific Layra's portrait had an accent in the name when I named the file, even if this error persists, it's probably because of the hardware in this case not able to read by not having the accent, I think, even though I fixed I need to check every other iteration where this specific Layra's portraits appear, change it and then it should probably work. Just gimme some time, I'm altering these right now and I'll do a heads-up when I finish and update it. Didn't even thought about it not working cause of this, lol, here works fine but I can see why this happens

Ok, replaying this version of the game I have here, this error didn't occur, I've seen a similar problem happen when I was testing android builds with the soundtrack files, this mostly occurs when the software isn't computing the file due to some incompatibility, but it was all of the soundtrack files, not a specific one like this, I guess since the other image files considering the print are working fine is just something when the download happened. Can you try downloading and extracting the file again and see if the error persists? After checking through the game program event here, it's basically the same as the other so I'm puzzled as to why this is happening. If the error continues I'll try to release an updated version changing this specific bit of the program
Also, are you playing on the computer or using an external software like Joiplay to play on the cellphone?

Thank you very much, I end up being wary because I don't have much knowledge of art or notions of color and it takes me much longer than I normally should to do them, and in the end, I like the portraits and even though it's amateurish I have no intention of removing them, they have a certain charm for me, I'm happy to know that there are those who think so too

And I'm also grateful to find the game interesting, it's a project I'm doing for my love of media, both for the quantities of vn I've found here and mysteries in general. As a patron I wouldn't have anything to offer, a ko-fi is something I've been thinking about but haven't done yet

Seriously, hearing that makes me so happy, thank you, I mean it!

I don't doubt that I'll end up eventually reading it, I'll only finish my journey through Clamp's works first, I've picked up several of them to read, I just finished RG Veda today, the best one so far.

And I'm glad you like Lewis! I'll say though that his route will take a while to come, I want to get to a certain point in Jack's Route before working on the others, I think things will make more sense when it arrives.

First of all, I'm so glad you enjoy it! It's a bit of a time-consuming project, but I'll be posting updates as often as I can (Normally a build every 2 months)

Secondly, I really appreciate you showing me the typos, it's an easy thing to fix and it often goes unnoticed when I read and re-read. When I get home, I'll go through the typos and correct them, because if I leave it to do it later, I'll probably end up forgetting.

And, I've never read the Ichinose Family manga, but I remember it becoming popular last year. One day I do intend to read it, I have no spoilers, but I do know that there's the family amnesia and some mysterious scenarios that keeps popping up to them so I understand the connection lol

My bad, I mindlessly used WinRar as default, I added the normal Zip version

Thanks! And, not really, I started to learn how to draw in pixel art just for the sake of doing the character sprites in the game and took a long time to make and create them for the sake of me not being an artist myself. Appreciate the fact that you liked the character art though

I did the character art, writing and programming myself. What I didn't do was the soundtrack, some of the background art and the plugins for the RpgMaker

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it. It's going to take a while for the full release, but as time goes by I'll be posting updates

I just got home and spotted the bug, it was something simple, I'll wait and see if I find any other bugs to release an update. I greatly appreciate reporting bugs that in the midst of everything end up going unnoticed. Thank you!

Oh thanks! I'll get to fix that, I'll post the fixed version soon

I've just added it, I didn't realize I had not add it in before, thanks! In the future I plan to add more ports, however I'm struggling with Android/IOS one, hopefully I'll manage to do it
