Wait, so where was the key in that room? The one with the furniture shaped like a capital I, with some of it floating in the air.

The problem with sleeping was that, in the first room with a key, I was looking around and would fall asleep as soon as I interacted with the bed. It took me three tries to find the key hidden in the corner behind the furniture, and every time I had to restart the entire game. It wouldn’t start from the beginning; instead, it locked me on the title screen.

I really wanted to see the ending, though, because the game felt interesting. Thanks for the detailed reply, by the way.

In the final room, there actually aren’t any keys. The locked doors there only lead to empty rooms with text on the walls, which I added mostly as a small joke. The only ending I made is the one where you sleep on the bed and the game restarts.

Locking the player on the main menu was intentional, as I wanted the game to be a one-time experience rather than something you can replay freely. I didn’t expect someone to find the game this interesting, so I really appreciate that you did. Thanks again for taking the time to play and share your feedback.
