The pixel art, the music, the old game mechanics; it's all absolutely beutiful.
I have a question for Choso: how do you get that retro effect for the music and the SFX?

Hey!

Which effect? If you're talking about the instruments being muted to play sfx it's SwitchZetto's code. I exported 4 different audio tracks for each song: 2 pulses, 1 wavetable and 1 noise.  When a sfx is played the corresponding track is muted.
If you're talking about something else let me know it. Thanks for playing Lunny 😊

I meant, how do you make the music and the SFX sound like a retro game or an old arcade (8-16 bits)? Do you use some special settings in a synthesizer, or a specific instrument in the software you use to make the music and sounds...?

Ah, the music was sequenced on Furnace Tracker, you can find their website or Github page easily. In Furnace you can select which soundchip you want to use. very straightfoward. And if you want you can even export the music for the real hardware, so basically Lunny's soundtrack can run on a real gameboy.

Thanks a lot for the reply! Now I'm gonna check it out. :)))))))
