I loved this one... Until I realized you can dodge the diagonal slashes by just holding down, instead of down+left or right. If you guys made it that way it would've been incredibly fun.
The jump I found to be pretty much impossible to react to on hard mode when the other slashes were still very much managable. I would add maybe a tenth or two tenths of a second more to the jump reaction time.
Love the artstyle, music, and sound. Amazing job overall with this!
I do agree with you on that. While it makes sense that dodging down would work for diagonal slashes, it does make dodging diagonally less necessary in those situations. I have yet to find a good solution for that.
Interesting, I thought the jump was pretty balanced on hard mode, but that may be because I had to play test it a lot and got used to it. Jumping is a big difficulty factor in this game and it’s meant to be slower than normal dodges, but I’ll definitely look into adjusting it a bit more.
