I can't... find the download button ;_;

The demo is available on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3369020/Death__Faeology/

Aahh~ so many devs teasing on itch and then moving exclusively to Steam 😔

So, personal opinion and situation but I think I'm not the only one, so I'll share:

As a player/buyer, I vastly prefer itch and GOG for their drm-less and platform-lock-less approach. You buy it, you get the files, you install where you want, you get updates if and when you want. I know they have less natural reach than Steam, and you don't get the auto drm effect, but... it feels like a more natural approach to me. Almost like going to a farmer's market rather than the grocery store chain.

Have you considered publishing on these alternate platforms? At least have the demo here?

If not, I'd love to know why, because there's so many devs doing this, and I'm curious as to why :(

By the way, the steam requirements say "Memory: 4 MB RAM", which I supposed is meant to be 4GB?

Thank you for the feedback! This project was made during Spooktober VN Jam 2024, and having an itch.io page was necessary for submission purposes. We also use this page for early prototyping.

There are a few reasons why this page hasn’t received much attention from us, but the main one is that we’re currently focusing our efforts on other priorities and platforms (our other VN, Ookami Okami, marketing and social media, Steam festivals, real-life matters, etc.).

That said, this doesn’t mean we won’t release the full game here or on other DRM-free stores like GOG. It’s just something we plan to take care of later, after we’ve handled most things on our main platform.

Oohh. As an alternative-platform user, I wouldn't mind having to wait for a DRM-less release. Waiting as a compromise would be quite all right. I hope to see this happen within next year if possible 🙏
