I've seen this sentiment a few times.
"3 years no update??"
During these 3 years the game was made in unity, almost fully remade in unity before needing to ditch to godot, remade in godot. (An engine I was new with)
And now to facilitate the update, it is being remade again in godot on the latest version to support web Android, web IOS, web Mac, etc.
I also am not paid to work on this free game. I prioritise work, commissions, and projects that allow me to live. So I'd dedicate a few hours here and there a week. 
So, no it's not "taken 3 years". it's not my sole project, and it's 100% free. People playtesting the beta helps find the web-only bugs for me.

It isn't an "insane exaggeration". Most of the code has been replaced with the sole purpose of maximising performance. And clearly it is not done.
And there was never time where I had a sustainable amount of support. I quit my 6-day a week job as I wanted to work on game development and art full time, in which I did. As mentioned, FuzzBoob's is not my only project: I have a Steam game in the works, and some other projects that will be finished another time.
Indie development doesn't really sustain itself solely through hopes and dreams, you need buyers or supporters. I don't really see any other releases for you to profit off of, so just because it turned out to not be as profitable as you thought doesn't mean you can just switch up and pretend you've been developing this game completely for free for the sake of that "I don't get anything from this, guys" excuse.
Also you're just optimizing the game while describing it in the most dramatic way possible

I can make exaggerated comparisons for my own arguments too buddy. The entirety of og fnaf 1-4 took only a year and a half to make. You're only making her look worse considering this is just one update we're talking about, not even a full game. Comparing new skins and game modes to Silksong? lmao
Seriously though, maybe if you keep swearing like you have a daily quota to hit she'll meet the deadline this time
and ignoring the fact Scott reused a LOT of assets, code and whatnot, and the fact Scott has a massive game/movie/animation making past behind him before fnaf 1 even came out too it seems, meanwhile she has stated this to be her first big project and she had to rewrite the entire game code from the change from Unity to the Godot engine which is no easy thing, Scott ever only used Clickteam which he had already mastered and never worked on having to rewrite his whole code on another engine, since im gonna teach you this: different engines always mean different coding, Unity's code wasnt compatible with Godot's which lead to her remaking the whole code for the game.
And i wasnt talking about the update alone, i meant the game as a whole, she had to get a lot of new assets, fix all of the old unity bugs that went under the radar, rewrite everything in Godot, make sure everything worked in Godot, and so on.
So like i already said, if it can be done so easily, YOU do it, make a game like this in one engine, then have to rewrite it from scratch, we'll see how long it takes you.
Yes, that was my point about examples completely separate of scale and progress. And if that's what you're talking about then we're not even having the same argument. I'm arguing against her pulling the sympathetic "I do this for free" card, which is objectively false, as well as using colorful descriptions to describe what literally anyone else would describe as optimizing code. Idgaf how long the game itself took to make, yet this particular update sucks proportional to the amount of content and time it took to arrive. She seemingly hadn't touched the game for a decent period of time after the last ports and this update was obviously scrambled together last minute. It's not illegal or anything, she just comes off as weirdly insistent on bullshitting around it.
...buddy, that's no lie, she really does do it for free, even Glazed has stated it, but you clearly dont realize or care she had to remake it from scratch, in other words, nothing, since as i have already said, Godot and Unity are VERY different, you also forgot to mention this update is still being worked on until the OFFICIAL release on January 1st 2026, meaning this is more or less teasing whats to come in term of gameplay, but at this point, its more like you just came to insult her work.

I do realize, the godot remake was a completely different update and was even accurately described as a remake (was quicker than this upd too). While I could word it better, saying she doesn't get anything from this is just dishonest. You don't have to ask for money to sill get it, and patreon money doesn't become something you just found on the street once it reaches you. Earnings are earnings, and I am almost positive pudding didn't go on the whole job excursion thinking she would be making nothing from the literal only game she had out on the time.
Lastly, believing that the beta gets properly fixed by new years is a pipe dream. And if it does then fuck me ig
