postin again... yea this game could be somethin special for sure, dont know what your intent is for difficulty but the divide between daily jobs for living expenses and big ticket opportunities for debts and so on feels good. I played DoL for a bit myself, and aside from having way too much straight up rape to be enjoyable, a regularly scheduled huge weekly payment just felt demoralising, and the possibility of unexpected expenses and desireable upgrades in this game is great.

In this game I had the opportunity to sell my eyes to a rich guy for 5k, which I took right away. They were replaced with synth eyes of the exact same type, but the way the UI said they weren't my original eyes really sat with me and I couldn't stop thinking about wanting to get them back, it's a really intimate and relatable kind of body horror that the synth form allows for.

After that I got into some tight spots and needed to pay a couple of huge repair bills because I just can't say no when a synth goes missing. I was playing a non-gendered ex combat bot who was trying to afford enough parts to choose a gender, and even with the current amount of content I would have kept playing past the cut off point to try and achieve that.

The sense of having to choose to take desperate actions to survive in a hostile urban environment really captures something of a game idea I've been trying to make for a while, and makes decisions feel like they have meaningful and lasting consequences instead of just feeling like I'm constantly bouncing back fine from a never ending cascade of trauma like in some other games.

good work!

Wait. What jobs? I never found any jobs. Maybe I was just looking in the wrong place, but I didn't even realize there were supposed to be jobs.

EDIT: Okay, well, in order to try to find jobs, I did something I had never tried before and actually left the apartment with clothes on... which apparently gives access to like 90% of the game that you otherwise can't access without clothes on. Still never found any jobs, though.

rn the main ways of getting money are completing the daily assignments and selling stuff, those are the "jobs", but there's no formal, stable jobs in like the regular lifesim way (I intend to avoid having them). also at most you were missing on 10 or so minor events by having no clothes on

Uh... the main source of income is definitely sex. I don't know if that was intended to be the main source of income, but it's far and away the easiest.

And, well, what I was missing is not losing Mental by clicking to go places most of the time, because nearly all of the random events cause mental loss if you aren't wearing clothes.

I think I have some confusion regarding the goal of this game... Especially if you weren't expecting players to acquire income primarily via sex.

prostitution is a way to get money but its not the main or primary way, and in this version its honestly pretty undeveloped too, so the other ways are much more lucrative. to be clear the "goal" of this game is to make something i personally enjoy playing, so it might just not cater to you

The other ways are not more lucrative, though. They're horrifically difficult.

Also, if the goal of the game is for you to play it and no one else, don't fucking publish it.
