As a huge geography nerd, I really enjoyed this, thanks for making it!

The only issue I have is with the Bering Strait. I accepted the mission to get there while I was on the south pacific ocean, so naturally I went east towards the end of Russia, only to realize the trigger was in North America. It would be so cool if you could wrap your world on a sphere, that would solve the problem!

For reference, there's that guy who made a similar game with a round  world, you might want to check it out:

Overall, I loved the game, it's very nicely done and I loved the dialogues, the 3d models and the ability to take pictures.

Great job!

Thank you for playing my game. So ecstatic to know my game met a geography nerd! The flat world map DOES WRAP around at the east and west edges. If you go off the map at the east edge, you will find yourself coming out of the west edge; and vice versa.

I have watched that youtube video as a reference, as I have been making a 3d  globe. It was only halfway through the jam that I changed to a 2d flat map, because I found it easier to play--you can see everything basically from anywhere on a familiar map; a better choice for a jam game.

Thanks again for checking out my game!

Oh it wraps! That's cool!

Yeah, I agree being able to spot the monuments from afar was a good call, I haven't thought about that earlier.

I didn't think of using the landmarks from afar to help the player's navigation, either, until I tried out the 2d map.

I still like the 3d globe idea better and plan to continue on the 3d globe to make a more leisure (without time rush) travel game with more in-depth narrative and photography assignments. I'm even putting in some real-world astronomical data/algorithms so the player can follow the path of the lunar and solar eclipse around the globe on specific real-world dates.  :D
