why is there constantly snowflakes flying across the screen?
It should not require that much ram. I'm not sure how to reproduce it. Possibly history saves are causing this issue which can be turned off in settings. Or too many taken saves, during opening of the menu the textures get loaded taking up the ram. If you can send me your saves folder. I'll take a look. On discord dm @Hikkeiru .
For some reason, load times on startup and when opening the save menu are insanely long for me, to the point where it makes the game unplayable. Every time I open the save menu, I have to wait 15-60 seconds to be able to save or load. I'm the kind of person who likes to test out all the dialog options and explore the branching pathways, so this really adds up and it's gotten to the point where even though I was enjoying the game otherwise, I had to stop playing because I'd be spending half my time staring at the save file page and waiting for it to load.
If it helps, the problem seemed to get worse the more save files I made, but did not get better when I deleted save files.
Sorry for the late reply I didn't get notification for this post. I do not put any limit of save files, and all of the file previews get loaded at the time you access the menu. The problem usually was not noticable on a better rig, yet it was a problem because of newtonsoft library which allocates lots of garbage. That library is now only used for old saves, because the save file system was internally refactored recently.
Thanks for playing. For quicker reply message @hikkeiru on discord.
I do have a few issues with the Linux build:
1. Mouse icon is about twice as big as one would expect. Scaling issue? (all resolutions)
2. (likely caused by 2.) background or characters are missing or even whole dialogue chains out of order. But always in the same places (cilia entry in abandoned hut is one).
3. short freeze all 100 szene frames or so.
System is Arch XFCE with X-server.
edit: whitespace works for interaction too. But scenes being black there too.
Linux build is very old. I currently do not support it due to lack of time. On linux you could possibly try Windows build with a compatibility layer like wine / lutris. Which a few users had success with it yet I also cannot guarantee support for that. That is due to lack of time and more pressing priorities.
I don鈥檛 know if this is a bug that has already been reported or if it鈥檚 intended to work this way. I have the latest public version downloaded from itch.io. Every time I close and reopen the game, the fishing points reset back to 0. I keep the fish and the money, but the skill tree branches reset to their base state, so I have to grind the points again to assign them. Other than that, I love it.
Hi, I'm having a problem because I can't interact with the landlord living below me, the progression tracker said "Does my landlord living below me know about enginneer? I should bother her about it." But yeah, after I try to interact with the landlord below me, the dialogue goes like "Me: I think there is a version where the person inside finally opens this ###ing door." "Sori: Yeah... Right..." "Me: No no. I'm serious I can feel it!". Only that was said: I'm on version 71.103 P. I try to interact with everything I can, but nothing lets me progress.
