Thank you for confirming it is a RPG Maker game. ๐
I recognized this was a RPG Maker as soon as the narrator explained the controls "arrow keys to move, Z to interact and confirm, X to open menu and cancel, F4 to toggle between full screen or windowed" , I am familiar with these RPG Maker controls. ๐
Then I heard the game's sound effects and they sound familiar from RPG Maker as well. ๐
I didn't expect this game to be a RPG Maker game since it is a side-scrolling game and not a top-down perspective so I needed confirmation and you did but, as opposite to you, I enjoy hearing such familiar sounds specifically because they feel familiar and it is fun to experience how each developer uses the same resources in different ways making them feel familiar and new at the same time.
For example, when you discovered this game and downloaded it, you didn't expect it to be a RPG Maker game before you played it, right? Its developer surprised you by using an unoriginal game engine to make an original game, right? Then you better let yourself getting turned on by this excitement of discovering a new perspective on something you thought you already knew all about rather than letting yourself get turned off by the boredom of recognizing familiar sounds, don't you think? ๐
