In the game, there are a total of 70 Pokémon, of which 6 are fossils (Kabuto, Omanyte, Lileep, Anorith, Cranidos, and Shieldon).
Additionally, you can use Ditto to transform into a fossil, giving you 7 (and it counts for the passive boosts of Lileep and Shieldon).
There’s no way to release eggs, but the price has a cap, just like leveling up, it doesn’t scale infinitely.

The Pokémon selection is somewhat random, yes.
Mainly, I wanted to avoid having Pokémon repeat between allies and enemies. Additionally, I wanted the playable Pokémon to be as distinct from each other as possible.
Regarding Generation 6, there are only a few Pokémon included because it’s difficult to find sprites for gens 5+. For example, Swanna has a sprite, but Ducklett doesn’t, so I couldn’t add it to the game.
The same goes for Pokémon like Crustle, Amoonguss, Carracosta, Simipour, and many others that could create interesting synergies but, unfortunately, I can’t include them in the game.

Can you add Pokemon with split evolutions if possible? The game has more than enough pokemon but I think it would be cool to select an upgrade path similar to other tower defense games.

Also what sprites are required for you to implement a Pokemon i looked at the site you get your sprites from and both farigraif and dudunsparce seem too have a decent amount of them dispite not being in the game. I don’t know to much about game design so I was wondering.
