I strongly encourage you to proceed with this awesome idea :D!!! As far as the jam rules. This jam is only for updating finished games. I think you are describing starting from scratch which would be a remake, not a remaster. but when the jam ends if you would like to reach out to me I would like to see how your game came out independently :).
